REACCH PNA logo
The REACCH project was initiated in 2011 to ensure sustainable cereal production in the inland Pacific Northwest. The project was led by an interdisciplinary team of scientists and other professionals from three land grant institutions and the USDA Agricultural Research Service, with funding from the National Institute of Food and Agriculture’s Climate Variability and Change Program.

Data: REACCHPNA Modeling: CMIP5 MACAv2-METDATA Catalog

The MACA dataset is a spatially and temporally complete, high-resolution (1/24th degree ~4-km) gridded dataset of downscaled climate projections of surface meteorological variables (temperature, precipitation, humidity, wind, radiation) for the coterminous United States. The climate projections originate from phase 5 of the Coupled Model Intercomparison Projection (CMIP5) from 1979-present and include outputs from 20 global climate models (GCMs) for the historical GCM forcings (1950-2005) and the future Representative Concentration Pathways (RCPs) RCP 4.5 and RCP8.5 scenarios (2006-2100). Note there are 3 different MACA products depending on which version of MACA was used and which historical training dataset was used: MACAv1-METDATA, MACAv2-LIVNEH and MACAv2-METDATA.
