This lightning talk discusses virtual, trandisciplinary collaborations within the context of disaster relief and resiliency. The project, evolving out of a cohort challenge initiated by Innovations at the Nexus of Food, Energy, and Water Systems Education Resources (INFEWS-ER), created a knowledge co-production process that can be utilized to build solutions in tandem with or in support of pre-existing community initiatives for disaster relief and resilience in Puerto Rico. Stakeholder reflections were conducted at the conclusion of the project to draw out critical lessons learned, of which two are highlighted here: 1) reflexivity and adaptability must be continuously practiced throughout the extent of the project; 2) the disaster(s) in focus must be contextualized. This work is currently undergoing peer-review, and, when published, will be found under the following title: "Compound[ing] Disasters in Puerto Rico: Pathways for Virtual Transdisciplinary Collaboration to Enhance Community Resilience"
