REACCH PNA logo
The REACCH project was initiated in 2011 to ensure sustainable cereal production in the inland Pacific Northwest. The project was led by an interdisciplinary team of scientists and other professionals from three land grant institutions and the USDA Agricultural Research Service, with funding from the National Institute of Food and Agriculture’s Climate Variability and Change Program.

Data: REACCHPNA Crops - Nitrogen Source as a Factor in Size of fertilizer Toxicity Zone

The images collected here are images from a rhizotron study conducted in Pullman, WA. The study looks at comparing the fertilizer toxicity zone immediately surrounding a band of Ammonium Sulfate fertilizer and Urea fertilizer. The crop species used was a winter Canola. Images were set to be collected every 4 hours and at a resolution of 4800 dpi.
